OK... FOREVER

That's about how long its been since I bogged. I know that writing is not my thing but just had to share this God Moment.

Last week I was driving through Brentwood and passing some of the most amazing house-mansion-castle-complexes I have ever seen. The initial thoughts that ran through my mind went something like this:

"How can someone actually LIVE in a place like that?"

"How could someone justify spending that much money on a house?"

"What do these people do for a living?"

"How many rooms do they actually use"

"How many people actually live there?"

"Wow... that driveway through the middle of the house is so cool"

"Man, What I could do with a house like that"

"That one is so beautiful"

I had actually gone from a position of loathing to a place of awe and envy.

And that's when I turned the corner...

Scattered across the rolling hills was a magnificent sunset. It was full of pink, red, orange, purple and every hue in between. I looked back at the huge houses and they actually looked very blah, pale and most of all very, very, very small.

Then God said very softly "I made this for you". You didn't have to save any money to buy it... didn't have to wait months and years for its construction... and best of all... others can share it with you no matter who they are.

I smiled and just looked back one more time at the small "shacks" that I had just a moment before been in awe of.

God is so Good, and HE gives His gifts to ALL of us for free.

Just open your eyes and see!!!

For all the hopes and dreams we have reality can sometimes be down right discouraging.
This week was no exception to this. Through all the Grand Dreaming came a huge dose of reality. BUT, Without the dreams the reality would just be "normal" and I hate normal. So for all you who still hope in what you can't see...I'll see your 3 Dreams and raise you 5!

DID YOU EVER WONDER WHY? This is the title of my new "Coffee Table" book. In response to my last blog I have decided to create my own SIMPLE VISUAL BOOK for the not-so-wordy of us. The basic premise is that each page of this book will have a wonderfully created visual focus and a few words that will begin with... Did you ever wonder why:

Some feedback from my own family have started this process already. Here are a couple examples...

Did you ever wonder why:

1. You can go into one of those mega cinemas on the off hours. Have a seat, get comfortable and out of hundreds of seats to choose from in this almost empty theater... the lady with the noisy children... the business man who somehow feels the need to still continue work from his cell phone... the Junior High girls who discuss everything except the movie... SIT RIGHT BY YOU?

2. The prefix "POT" is used in the word POTHOLE? I know it is a hole but... pot???

If you run into any more send them my way and who knows it may end up on someone's table. Till then happy wondering.

BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH... OK, Lately I've been attempting to read several different books. The attempt has often been derailed in part by the always present dyslexia issues... however, even more is the on-going verbiage just to make a simple point. I don't mean the creative story to get you there or even the illustrations to prove the point... but the mind-numbing ongoing PC words upon words that authors tend to use, I'm convinced just to hear themselves think... kida like I'm doing now SO I'LL STOP and get to my point.

WHY do we make things so complicated. I want more picture books in my world... ones that have some simple to-the-point text at the bottom or creatively scattered around the edges to state the point directly and large all-telling photos, illustrations, paintings, etc. that will melt these simple truths into my mind!

I THINK I'LL MAKE A PICTURE BOOK!

Paramore! A must check out... a fresh-mixed mouthful of sound... The Franklin TN, Home Grown, Ex-Fusionites have done a bang-up job on their debut album. Love the Lyrics, Vocals and kickin' band. I know things will grow and refine but for a first release this is one to watch out for. Great job Guys & Lady Haley!
